We began writing seriously in 2018, and have placed our stories in various publications since then. While we have explored multiple genres, we're best known for our speculative fiction with horror and romantic elements.


In 2020, we published our first anthology of other authors' works. The project was great fun, and we seek to do more of this in the future. Our first open call, entitled "Stolen" will launch in 2025.

As part of our authors' journey, we've discovered a love for publishing.  Helping bring the works of other authors not only exposes us to unique and compelling stories we might not otherwise read, but it helps make us better writers, too. 


In 2018, we self-published our first work, a novel by Robert W. Easton.  (Fortress of the Heart, depicted below under Authors.)


In 2023, we published The Games We Play, a collection of short stories prepared by users on the play-by-post roleplaying site gamersplane.com.  


In 2025, we reached out to the broader horror author community for our next anthology, Stolen (see below).

Stolen: A Horror Anthology

Easton Tales Publishing went on the hunt for new stories ranging from 2,000 to 6,000 words for our horror anthology. One of the things that terrify people is a loss of power and the feeling of helplessness. We looked for horror tales that tackle the theme of stolen. meet the authors

Ellen A. Easton


Ellen A. Easton is an avid reader and TTRPG player. She has always had a fascination with the odd, mystical, and fantastical elements of life and literature. She also has an appreciation for a well-brewed cup of tea and anything involving chocolate.


Ellen received her first publishing credits in Kevin J. Kennedy’s 100 Word Horrors anthologies. In 2021, she won a spot in Zombie Pirate Publishing’s The Ringed Giant, for their write a novella in a week contest. In 2023, she and her husband, Robert W. Easton, published their first anthology, The Games We Play, through their company Easton Tales Publishing. Ellen also has short stories in several anthologies. She is currently working on her first novel.


Ellen lives with her husband, daughter, and several black cats in a small town nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada.

Robert W. Easton


Rob Easton is long time writer of short stories, poetry and roleplaying adventures for his friends and family. Caught between the twin passions of reading and writing, Rob focuses his energies on writing short pieces that he can then mine for adventure with his companions. Rob earns his living as a mathematician and pension consultant, and prior to that he worked as a software developer at a military pilot training facility. While earning a bachelor degree in applied mathematics, he was compelled to sneak in a minor degree in English literature. Rob also ran a college level writers guild, helping fellow writer's polish their skills and perform their works in public and on television. He always thought that he would begin publishing fiction after retirement, but having recently begun friendships with several professional writers, Rob has decided to take his craft to the inevitable level sooner rather than later.
